Behind the scenes at Wikström Media – a unique insight into everyday life and a meeting with managing duo Key Account Manager Cecilia and CEO Jakob. Has everything gone smoothly in recent years?

Two cups of coffee, a pair of leather armchairs and a leadership-duo. And one amicable conversation.

“Oh, what a journey we’ve had. To the say the least, it has been varied, heavy, and challenging as both the customer projects and the staff have grown incredibly fast. It feels a lot, if one can say so,” explains Jakob.

Rapid growth phases, of course, cause pain in the form of different kinds of challenges; growing fast is far from easy.

“Office chairs, computers, project tools, personnel issues – at the end of the day growth is made up of so many practical details that you probably haven’t thought of before,” smiles Jakob.

“Exactly,” says Cecilia, “when we moved to our current premises two years ago none of us expected that we would already have to search for even larger location. Absolutely crazy, really.”

Over the past five years, the company has gone from 2 half-time employees and two small office rooms to over 25 people and 250 m2 of office space, with operations in several locations in Finland and now also internationally.

“Our way of working is to collaborate closely with our customers, to listen deeply and understand what they are really looking for and want to achieve, has proven to be both appreciated and effective,” explains Cecilia.

“And we soon noticed that concepts, ideas and the big picture are what we do best. There, the key is to really listen and understand before implementation,” Jakob continues.

But now it sounds like advertising, so back to the leather armchairs and the connection.

“Together, we have absolutely put in the hours. Pushing the boundaries increases both energy and creativity, but I am also grateful for both the opportunity and everything we have learned along the way,” says Jakob.

“And we have managed it together, the whole team. It feels incredibly satisfying,” says Cecilia.

“Nobody knows for sure what the future will bring, but based on how things have gone so far, it seems it will continue to be an exciting journey. And who knows how far that journey can take us,” concludes Jakob.
